After closely monitoring the ever changing status of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact to everyone’s health risks, business, travel, budgets and family obligations, we have decided that the best solution is to have a virtual conference for this year. Conducting a live in-person conference is just too risky for the health of our staff, conference committee, attendees and speakers.
Additionally, it is imperative this year that we continue to provide insight and training to our loyal attendees regarding any new or changing regulations and legislative changes issued by the IRS and state agencies.
This year’s virtual Regulatory Conference will be conducted in the fall of 2020 for the business community in a manner that minimizes the costs associated with the travel, being out of the office and most importantly eliminating the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus by attending a live conference.
Legislative changes and new regulations this year will impact many areas within an organization including payment systems, AP, procurement and even Unclaimed Property. Any regulatory changes that will result in an impact to business operations and procedures, tax and filing requirements and payment procedures – including new changes that are related to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, must be implemented timely and effectively to avoid costly penalties and costly liabilities.
The IRSC Regulatory Conference Committee is hard at work on this year’s agenda and format. We expect to provide the agenda, registration information and more to everyone via email and on our website shortly.
If you have any questions regarding this year conference, please contact us by phone at 410-914-5470 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
